Lago Salso Oasis

The Salso Oasis Lake is part of the district of wetlands of Capitanata, the most important one in the South of Italy. The Salso Oasis Lake covers an area of around 1.000 hectares in total divided into 541 hectares of marsh and 500 dry pasture and wet meadows. The Oasis is managed by Oasi Lago Salsa Spa who entrusted Center for Natural Studies the organization of guided tours and recreational, educational and cultural activities. In addition, The Salso Oasis Lake is considered one of the most important for the migration of birds and the nesting of a lot of water birds.
